We have sampled many farmers markets and one stands out from the rest in our opinion and is found in downtown Evanston! We often do farmers market dinners on the weekend to celebrate all that life has to offer, and Evanston’s market is reminiscent of the wonderful farmers market found in Holland Michigan with tremendous variety of the freshest fruits, vegetables, flowers, cheese, eggs, meat and bakery items available. Truly a one stop shop to create a wonderful feast and worth the trip to investigate!

The Downtown Evanston market is held from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday from May 7 through November 5, 2016 and is located at the Intersection of University Place and Oak Ave (behind Hilton Garden Inn, east of East Railroad Ave).

The Farmers’ Market is accessible via CTA Bus #93 and runs every 25-30 minutes on Saturdays. Check ctabustracker.com for real-time info and bus arrival and departure schedules. Pets are not allowed at the market (with an exception for service animals).

Parking is free in the adjacent 1800 Maple Avenue Self Park Garage with ticket validation at the City of Evanston tent.
